Five in a Row offers support for the books
of the same name. This is a literature-based elementary curriculum.
Sonlight offers complete curriculum centered around
history and literature. About half of the books they suggest can be found at the Library.
The Well-Trained Mind website has articles,
reviews, and message boards to go along with their

Christian Classical Curriculum has an
extensive list of books and curriculum recommendations. You can purchase materials through links from
their site.
Saxon has one of the best Math
programs available. We're considering using their curriculum next year. Also look for free placement
tests to determine what level your children belong in.
Bob Jones University Press offers traditional Christian
curriculum. I like their math program and have used it for the past year - it is suited very well for
home use. Their reading program seems good but is not appropriate for my gifted reader - the
curriculum I used was more suited to classroom use.
School of Tomorrow has self-paced curriculum for all
grades. I really like their preschool curriculum and have used it with both kids.
Book-Centered Lesson Plans/Ideas
TeacherViews has reviews and activities
for many children's books.
Stepping Stone Academy has ideas and resources
for SonLight and Five in a Row Materials. Look for unit studies here too!
Mr. Donn's Pages has a section of
literature-based lesson plan, as well as many other lesson plans and links as well.
Webbing into Literacy has books
listed by month with lesson plans/worksheets and rhyme suggestions to go along with them, all at the
pre-school level. Also take a look at the "Rhyme a Week" lesson plans. We used this when Rebekah was 2-3.
Book Adventure has online quizzes to go along with many
children's books, most of which you can find at the library. Kids earn points for correct answers and can
redeem their points for prizes. Rebekah enjoys this.
DLTK offers all kinds of printable crafts, coloring pages, and
even themed writing paper. Some of their material relates to children's literature.
