This week Rebekah had her 1-month appointment with the pediatrician.  After a short wait in the waiting room, the nurse called us back and weighed Rebekah.  She's 9 lbs, 11 oz. now.  She's gained about 2 1/2 lbs above her birth weight...not bad considering she had lost just over 10% of her birthweight by the time she was 5 days old!

The doctor came in and was as gentle as ever with her.  We didn't even have to undress her for this appointment since she was wearing a little dress and the doctor could get to most everything he needed to quite easily.  Rebekah's really calm most of the time, and her doctor's appointments are no exception.

The only questions we had at this appointment were about the discoloration on her face that is apparently a little bit of baby acne and the congestion that is quite normal for babies at this age since they are not used to the dust and other things in the air.   The doctor has pronounced Rebekah healthy - proof we must be doing something right!
